Three women were captured on video helping an elderly man in a wheelchair who appeared to be in some distress.
The incident occurred on Oct 2 (Sunday) at 2:00 in the afternoon outside a FairPrice grocery in Bedok.
A netizen shared a video of the act of kindness from the three women to crowdsourced news site Stomp.
Their kindness drew praise from other netizens, some of whom referred to the women as “angels.”
The netizen who sent the video to Stomp described the situation like this:
“The crying old man needed help, yet I could see only three good citizens running to help him. Very appreciated!.”
They added that “The three ladies slowly adjusted his sitting position for his comfort. They handled him very tenderly and with care. I could see the old man was very happy at last.”
The sender of the video noted that not everyone in Singapore has a kind heart, as the women showed, and that they were “very pleased to see the good citizens.”
They added, ”At first, I thought Singapore had changed into a worse society, but it’s not true. There are still some good-hearted people around, especially some Singaporeans who still care for the elderly in general.”
