Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have officially tied the knot. They got married at the One Love Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas at 1.45am on Monday – just after the Grammys awards event.
Witnesses said the 30-minute ceremony had an Elvis theme and the couple danced to one of his songs afterwards.
Kardashian and Barker became an “official” couple on Instagram in February last year when a picture of them holding hands was posted.
Kardashian, 42, it is said, helped encourage Barker, 46, to board an airplane for the first time since 2008, when he survived a deadly crash.
In October 2021, Barker proposed to Kardashian with a huge oval-shaped diamond ring designed by Lorraine Schwartz. The engagement took place at the Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel in Montecito, California.
Kardashian’s mum, Kris Jenner, 65, had given her blessings before the proposal. “I’m so excited, he was really cute, he did that proposal all on his own,” Jenner said earlier on.
Kardashian, founder of the lifestyle website Poosh, has three children – Mason 12, Penelope, nine, and Reign, seven – with former partner Scott Disick. This is her first marriage.
Travis Barker is a drummer with Blink-182. He was formerly married to actress Melissa Kennedy for less than a year from 2001 to 2002. He was next married to model Shanna Moakler from 2004 to 2008, and they have two children, Landon, 18, and Alabama, 15.
Questions however have arisen over whether the Kardashian-Barker union is legal, as some sources say the couple had a ceremony but did not have a marriage licence.
