Indonesia goes wild over an Indonesian-English true love story that culminated in marriage

While the surprise over interracial relationships is generally a thing of the past, it really is beautiful to witness the love between two people who hail from opposite ends of the globe. Indonesian netizens have been going wild over the recent marriage of a 26-year-old Indonesian man and a 21-year-old English woman got married on Sunday, December 16. Their photos are stunning, their smiles are captivating and their love is making netizens giddy with excitement.

Karna Radheya and Polly Alexandria Robinson said their “I do’s” on Sunday, December 16, in Magelang, Indonesia, in a simple Muslim ceremony, the photos of which have been widely circulated and talked about.

The couple, who met in August 2017 in Bali, has been together ever since. Karna was working in Bali as a surfing instructor and restaurant owner. His restaurant, Luku Kitchen, is famed for its juicy burgers and is located in Seminyak, Bali.

After the couple fell in love, their relationship was tested with a long-distance period of a year and a half. But the time and distance did not get between them. In fact, it made them stronger and brought them closer together. Close enough for them to decide to seal the deal with a lovely wedding, where Polly wore a simple white dress and a light pink head scarf.

Polly had converted to Islam six months before the wedding so that she could marry Karna, who is blissfully grateful to have his lovely wife.

“This is fate. I never asked for a foreign wife, but God has decided that Polly should be my wife and I am truly thankful for this,” said Karna.

Karna is currently applying for Indonesian citizenship for Polly. After the wedding, the couple went back to Bali, where they now live.

Karna’s family were present for the wedding, while Polly’s were not, even though it was reported her family had given her and Karna their support and love.

Photos from Karna’s and Polly’s Instagram pages show just how sweet the two are together, and like we said before, Indonesian internet has been going crazy over the two lovebirds.
