Brie Larson joins the cast of Fast & Furious 10

Brie Larson will soon be seen in the Fast & Furious sequel. The Marvel comic heroine will join the cast of Fast 10 in a role that is yet to be disclosed.

Vin Diesel made the announcement on Instagram with a caption that hints that her role could be that of a villain

“You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect, her Oscar, haha this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the FAMILY Brie,” the action star wrote in the post alongside a photograph with Larson.

She is to appear alongside Jason Momoa, who may be best known for his role as Aquaman,  who plays a villain in the movie, and Daniel Melchior, from Suicide Squad.

The film’s next two sequels are set to be the last in the franchise and favourites like Michelle Rodriguez, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster and Sung Kang are all expected to take up their usual roles. Dwayne Johnson however will not be in.

Other famous names that could potentially be in the cast include Helen Mirren, Kurt Russell, Jason Statham, John Cena and Charlize Theron.

Fast 10 will be directed by filmmaker Justin Lin and will appear in cinemas  on May 19, 2023.
