Breaking: Dr Tan Cheng Bock endorses presidential hopeful Tan Kin Lian

SINGAPORE – At a walkabout this morning, Dr Tan Cheng Bock showed up at a walkabout at Chinatown and was seen having coffee with presidential hopeful Tan Kin Lian and 2011 presidential contestant Tan Jee Say.

The former rivals are seen together after nearly ten years and political observers are seeing this as an endorsement of Tan Kin Lian from the major opposition parties in Singapore.

In a meeting held at Palm Bistro on the 18th of August, Dr Tan had said that he has not decided on who to back for the presidential elections. He also posted a cryptic message on nomination day about the need for change.

Previously he also said that Mr Tharman was the most qualified to be the prime minister of Singapore.

With endorsements from Dr Tan Cheng Bock of Progress Singapore Party, Tan Jee Say of Singapore Democratic Party and Lim Tean of People’s Voice, it is clear that the major opposition parties are behind Tan Kin Lian in PE2023.

Mr Tan Kin Lian is back on his strides after losing several missteps leading up to nomination day over some of his past social media posts.
