Gilbert Goh posted on his Facebook page photos of what looked like a caucasian woman disrobing at a train station. In the photos, the woman is naked except for a short sock on her right foot, while there are clothes on the ground nearby.

The woman is not alone, though. One photo shows another woman, an SMRT attendant, attempting to cover the naked woman up, while the other photo shows the woman with one arm around a man, who also looks like a foreigner.

Mr. Goh captioned his post, “Happening at Paya Lebar MRT station…anyone can confirm?”

It was reported later that a call for help had been placed from the Pioneer MRT station on June 6 at 10:30 pm, and that a 35 year old women had been apprehended and taken into police custody under the Mental Health Act.

Many commenters on Mr. Goh’s Facebook page surmised that the woman either had mental or emotional problems, and sympathized with her plight, expressing hopes that she would get the help she needs.

Others made light of the situation, playfully suggesting that the woman had stripped naked because Singapore has gotten so warm lately.

Still others called what she was doing as “obscene” and “sick.”
