Yesterday, members of the media, families and fans of the Jurassic Park series got to “commemorate the 25th anniversary of the film that shaped imaginations and brought palaeontology to life”.

Everyone was taken back in time to where dinosaurs existed. Excited fans got to experience life through the eyes of a dinosaur and test out their skills at a virtual reality section, and those interested in gaming got to transport themselves to Isla Nublar, the Central American Island in the Jurassic Park movies.

Along with being able to engage in virtual reality games, those who attended the event at Plaza Singapura even got to meet Jurassic World’s only surviving Velociraptor, Blue, up close!

Fans were also treated to a special appearance of Val a Velociraptor, and her handler, Wyatt, a Behavioural Specialist of dinosaurs.

According to Wyatt, who works at Jurassic World at Universal Studios Singapore, here are some fun facts about velociraptors:

1. They are carnivorous creatures, with about 60 serrated teeth to tear into meat
2. They are fed 114kg of meat, twice a day
3. Wyatt uses eye contact to communicate with the dinosaurs and make sure they follow his commands
4. Even a Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex), the animal believed to have the strongest bite out of all land animals, is no match for a pack of Velociraptors

The JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM ADVENTURE and exhibition will be at Plaza Singapura’s Main Atrium from 25th of May to the 17th of June.

The movie ‘JURASSIC WORLD: THE FALLEN KINGDOM’ opens in cinemas on the 7th of June!
