A Texas school staff charged with two counts of sexual misconduct said she loved the boy she is accused of raping and that she lost her virginity to him. The staff who has since been terminated from service, Hannah Parisa Siboyeh (aged 24), was arrested last week.
Siboyeh appeared in a Houston courtroom on Monday, after she was booked into Harris County Jail on Friday and released on $30,000 bond. She faces one count of sexual assault of a child and one count of improper relationship between an educator and student.
Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD) police began investigating in April when the principal at Labay Middle School, where Siboyeh worked as a paraprofessional, contacted them after a student reported the relationship to her. The paraprofessional was removed from the middle-school campus after the allegation surfaced, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD said in a statement, and later terminated.
According to a probable-cause affidavit, the student reported seeing the boy — a former Labay student — and Siboyeh in bed together at the boy’s home, as well as hearing “weird noises” from the bedroom. The student said, the two also posed together in photos that were shared on Snapchat. The affidavit also records Siboyeh as saying that she loved the boy “with all of her heart” and had lost her virginity to him in July 2017.
Siboyeh’s sister who told police she knew that the relationship between the two was sexual, said her sister and the boy acted like girlfriend-boyfriend. Police who searched Siboyeh’s phone, found several explicit images of her with the boy. The boy was 15 at that time.
Siboyeh “described the relationship as one mistake after another and admitted that it was her fault because she was the grown-up.
At Monday’s hearing, a judge set bond conditions for Siboyeh, including that she have no contact with the boy. She left the courtroom in tears. Her lawyer said she is a “very emotional young lady, and it’s a sad situation, and we’re going to do everything we can to represent her.”
The school district said: “These actions are not representative of Labay Middle School or CFISD employee standards of conduct,” the district said.
