Monkey breaks into NTU dorm and bares its teeth at residents

Singapore — A video clip of a monkey that had broken into an NTU dorm room was posted online on Thursday (Oct 21).

In the short clip, shared on popular Facebook page @Shioksg, the monkey could be seen on the air-conditioning service ledge at first, before it lept into the room’s window ledge.

Uncle asks man in public toilet why he’s using lots of tissue paper, sticks his hand out under cubicle

Singapore — After being asked why he was using too much tissue paper, a member of the public shared how the same man bent down and poked his hand into a cubicle while he was in the toilet.

A video circulating online highlighted a rather creepy experience at a public toilet.

“So basically I was in the public male toilet at Clementi MRT when there was a man telling me why I was taking a lot of tissue paper,” wrote Instagram page sgfollowsall on Wednesday (Oct 20) citing a follower’s experience.

Mixed signals? COVID restrictions extended even as travellers from more countries allowed to enter SG without quarantine

Singapore — Some Singaporeans may be feeling somewhat confused by recent announcements, even as the country finds its footing in “learning to live” with Covid-19.

The Ministry of Health reported a recent daily high of 3,994 new infections on Tuesday (Oct 19)  as well as the largest single-day toll of 18 deaths the following day.

On Oct 20, Finance Minister Lawrence Wong, who co-chairs the Multi-Ministry Task Force (MTF) managing the pandemic, said “At the current situation, we face considerable risk of the healthcare system being overwhelmed.”

Video surfaces: Sylvia Chan says a guy she dated was seeing another girl when they took a break

Singapore — In light of allegations against Night Owl Cinematics (NOC) co-founder Sylvia Chan, about the mistreatment of her employees, videos from her podcast have resurfaced.

The Thirsty Sisters – a podcast hosted by Ms Chan and talent Nina Tan – has seemingly removed all videos from its YouTube channel. Their Instagram page is also unavailable and their TikTok page has been made private.

Singapore recovery stalled by 100k seniors who won’t get jabs —Australian newspaper

Singapore  — Who’s to blame for  Singapore’s “stalled” recovery from Covid-19?

Why, it’s the fault of some 100,000 senior citizens whoi are holding out and refusing to get vaccinated.  That’s according to an Oct 21 report in The Age, a newspaper in Melbourne, Australia.

  The Age has decided to pin  the blame for Singapore’s current plight on the shoulders of these who have not gone for their jabs although they were given priority.
