The police have caught the woman who allegedly robbed a blind tissue seller at an underpass near Yishun MRT station on Tuesday (30 Apr), around 7.20pm. The alleged robbed is a 64-year-old senior citizen.

Revealing that the busker lost her entire day’s earnings in the robbery, an eyewitness, Facebook user Jessica Vincent, recounted on social media: “This blind lady was robbed yesterday, 30 Apr 2019 at about 7:20pm at Yishun mrt underground towards the Northpoint. Some lady snatched her bag of her whole day collection and run off!” (sic)

Jessica revealed that another woman helped to chase the thief but the thief managed to flee: “The poor blind lady shouted for help! This poor blind lady has been sitting the whole day and how could any human to do this despite how poor one can be? A lot of us saw a lady chasing the thief but the thief got away.”

Sharing a picture of the blind busker and a photograph of the woman (in orange) believed to be the thief, Jessica expressed shock that “such things are happening in Singapore!”
