Muslim family risks becoming homeless during Ramadan

Social activist Gilbert Go highlighted the plight of a couple who may become homeless before Hari Raya. According to Gilbert, the couple owe Housing & Development Board (HDB) $414 in overdue rental and the government agency has threatened to throw them out of the flat for it.

The man is the sole breadwinner of the family and earns #1,000 as a pest controller. The family also has outstanding utilities bill. Gilbert is trying to raise funds to support the couple so that they won’t have to spend Ramadan homeless.
