Princess Charlotte, the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and fourth in the line of succession to the British throne, is proving to be quite a precocious little girl.

Although she just recently started at the Willcocks Nursery School in Kensington, the little Princess, age two, already knows how to speak two languages, English and Spanish.

The bilingual Princess is supposed to have learned Spanish from her nanny, Maria Turrion Borralo, a native of Spain. Charlotte’s older brother George, age 4, is learning the language from Ms. Borralo as well. Their mother, the former Kate Middleton, said last year that Prince George can count up to ten in Spanish.

Experts have written about how beneficial fluency in other languages is, as it gives people the advantage of wider employment possibilities, and is also said to boost brain activity prevent dementia.

Early youth has been proven to be the best time to learn a new language. It strengthens the brain and opens up new pathways of thinking about the world, or even concepts concerning time.

Little Princess Charlotte is said to be affectionate and sociable, with good manners, high energy and a sense of fun.
