40-year-old man found dead in Bishan – Third such case in area in recent months

Shin Min Daily News reported that a 40-year-old man was found dead on Wednesday (12 Oct) at around 9am. He was found at the void deck of Block 263, Bishan Street 22.

The Police said that they were alerted to the incident at 9.20am, and that the man was pronounced dead by the paramedics at the scene. They have classified the case as an unnatural death and investigations are ongoing.

This is the third death in the neighbourhood in recent months. On 24 Sep, a 60-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death.  25-year-old man who is believed to be the son of the deceased was charged in court on 26 Sep for murder. The incident happened in their family flat at Bishan Block 152B.

A 37-year-old policeman, his wife and mother-in-law were charged in Court for the death of their maid , Ms Piang Ngaih Don (age 24), in a ninth-floor flat at Block 145 Bishan Street 11, some time between July 25 and 26.Follow us on Social Media
