Hong Kong – Former Miss Hong Kong second runner-up and TVB actress Katherine Ho announced her divorce with millionaire husband Wu Zhicheng, just nine months after tying the knot. A day before the announcement, Ms Ho was photographed kissing billionaire Anson Chan.

In 2014, Katherine Ho, 27, placed second runner-up in the Miss Hong Kong Pageant. She also played minor roles in TVB dramas like Deep in the Realm of Conscience before settling down with millionaire Wu Zhicheng, 67, whom she dated three years before their wedding last July.

Mr Wu lavished his partner with diamond necklaces and a S$3 million house in her name.

Nine months later, on May 1 (Wednesday), Ms Ho posted a surprising announcement on Instagram.

“We have decided to separate on good terms and that we will continue to be good friends. Thank you for everyone’s support and we wish each other the best,” said reports.

Many were left confused with the announcement, given that the couple waited three years before getting married, only to separate less than a year later.

According to Jayne Stars, Hong Kong’s celebrity news outlet, the actress was found kissing billionaire Anson Chan at a party in the Lan Kwai Fong district the night before the Instagram post.

The billionaire was caught kissing the actress several times throughout the party, which Ms Ho enjoyed, reported Jayne Stars.

The Chan’s family assets are estimated to be worth over HK$10 billion (S$1.7 billion) compared to Mr Wu’s net worth of HK$3 billion (S$520 million).

Meanwhile, Ms Ho and Mr Chan have declined to give further details although the former confirmed the separation. Other reports are noting that the marriage allegedly did not survive due to Ms Ho’s unwillingness to have children and the fact that she did not have any relations with Mr Chan.

Interestingly in Deep in the Realm of Conscience, Ms Ho co-starred with Jacqueline Wong, another TVB actress who has been in the limelight recently.
