Robert Downey Jr and Benedict Cumberbatch are coming to meet Singapore fans at Avengers: Infinity War event

Marvel’s Iron Man and Doctor Strange are heading to Singapore to meet fans here on 16 Apr for a red carpet publicity event at Marina Bay Sands for the latest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avengers: Infinity War. The event, which will be held ahead of the film’s Singapore release on 25 April, is free for the public to attend.

The film franchise’s biggest star, Robert Downey Jr, will be accompanied by Karen Gillian who plays Nebula in the Guardians of the Galaxy series and Infinty War co-director Joe Russo, besides Benedict Cumberbatch.

Local fans will get a chance to snap photos with the stars or get their autographs at the Marina Bay Sands event, like other Hollywood film red carpet events held here.

Anticipation is mounting for Avengers: Infinity War which will be released here on 25 Apr, as the film will see just about every Marvel superhero join forces against the franchise’s big bad guy, Thanos.

The film will see characters from several different franchises – such as The Avengers and The Guardians of the Galaxy – coming together for the first time, to face the villain who has been teased since the first Avengers movie hit screens in April 2012.
