The inaugural Michelin Guide Singapore awards were held today (21 Jul), revealing 29 winners of the coveted Michelin stars, with 22 one-star, 6 two-star and 1 three-star winners.

Of the award recipients, four restaurants at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) won. Osia Steak and Seafood Grill which offers fine Australian dining, and Forest (森) with contemporary Chinese dining, each gained one-star, whilst L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon won two-star and Jöel Robuchon restaurant nabbed the only three-star in Singapore.
3Joël Robuchon’s restaurants have been awarded a total of 33 Michelin stars in his career with his current count at 30, and is the highest number for any chef in the culinary world. The Jöel Robuchon restaurant in Singapore serves French haute cuisine, with a 16-course degustation menu the main highlight.

RWS, positioned as Asia’s ultimate destination resort, has always been known as having the region’s first-and-only Universal Studios theme park, and these award wins are an affirmation of the company’s commitment as a dining destination. It recently opened Curate Asia’s first Michelin chef showcase restaurant.

In addition, Putien and Din Tai Fung are also two dining options at RWS which have sister establishments that have Michelin stars. Putien at Kitchener Road in Singapore was awarded its first one-star by Michelin Guide Singapore today, whilst Din Tai Fung has two one-stars in Hong Kong.
