Singapore – Who says the dull monochrome or tackily designed hospital gown has to match the blanched white walls of the hospital? All it took was some imagination, a tactical belt, and bag to turn a boring hospital gown into fashionable street wear in an instant.

The fashion concept was uploaded to a Reddit thread entitled “WDYWT” (What Did You Wear Today?) by r/streetwear, a community that welcomes all users to share their fashionable photos without being scorned. “The users here put themselves out there by posting pictures of themselves or their clothing and we want to make sure that /r/Streetwear is a place that people feel they are able to do so without being torn to shreds. The streetwear style might not make much sense to you so we welcome questions, and thank you for being respectful,” noted the page.

On April 15 (Monday) Reddit user u/geometrieva posted the following image with the caption, “[WDYWT] They gave me this hospital gown for my MRI scan, and it somehow looks SICK with my belt and bag.”

The gown was inspired from Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, whose logo could be seen on the top left area of the gown. A tactical pouch and belt were added to complete the look.

Redditors were amazed at the transformation with some quickly trying to decipher the brand of the outfit before looking at the caption which gave the concept away.

Smellslikegoose also asked about geometrieva’s MRI to which the latter replied that things weren’t so serious.

The uploader even added another comment about the accessories she used and included a link to her Instagram which showcases even more streetwear and cosplay poses.
