Matrix star Canadian actor Keanu Reeves has been busy this year.
The 55-year-old heartthrob made a scene this year with roles in movies such as John Wick 3, Toy Story 4 and a cameo appearance in the Netflix rom-com Always Be My Maybe.
Sources said that both DC and Marvel and “fighting” over Reeves for his possible feature in their respective upcoming feature films.
DC and Warner Bros are currently eyeing Reeves to reprise his role as John Constantine in their future Constantine movie.
President of Marvel Studio, Kevin Feige has revealed that Reeve’s name often comes to mind whenever they are planning for upcoming films.
Marvel fans are also dying to see the Speed actor take on various superhero roles such as Wolverine, Adam Warlock and also Moon Knight.
It is reported that the main reason Warner eventually gave the green light for Matrix 4 is to keep Reeves away from anything MCU-related.
It’s believed that if they are able to do so, they will be able to revive the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).
At the time of writing, Reeves has not confirmed or made any official statement in addressing the issue.
At 55, it’s good to know that the action star is still a hot commodity in Hollywood – especially when you have 2 giant studios vying to sign you on.
Keanu is a seasoned star with movie credits stretching back across three decades.
Keanu had his breakthrough in acting back in the late 80s and early 90s, when he starred in films like Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (and its 1990 sequel, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey), Parenthood, Point Break and My Own Private Idaho.
He is known as a favourite on the Internet and also in real life as one of the friendliest and kindest celebrities around.
Despite his popularity, he is down to earth and approachable.
