On Tuesday, November 20, he wrote in a Facebook post, “As many of my Facebook friends and residents are aware, I have been concerned that Singaporeans are not getting enough Vitamin D from sunlight so yesterday, in Parliament, I asked about the estimated percentage of the population that is deemed deficient in Vitamin D”.

He continued, adding that he asked about “whether there are measures to increase awareness of the risks associated with Vitamin D deficiency”.

On his Facebook page, Mr Yee also shared the response he received from The Ministry of Health.

Many netizens found Mr Yee’s post and query rather amusing, while others were annoyed as they felt that there were more pressing issues that needed to be raised in Parliament.
