Globetouch, a California-headquartered company which provides global connectivity solutions and IoT platforms, has acquired Gurgaon-based IoT solutions firm Teramatrix Technologies.

The transaction details were not disclosed.

Globetouch will leverage and integrate Teramatrix’s xFusion platform to create IoT apps that support connected cars, autonomous driving, predictive maintenance and edge intelligence, as per a press release.

The acquisition complements Globetouch’s existing global connectivity suite and IoT platform which manages the intersection of Big Data, Machine Learning and autonomous systems for enterprise customers.

“This move provides greater opportunity for our customers to scale, expand and grow their businesses in IoT as they reach out into new markets and geographies,” said Utkarsh Jain, CEO of Teramatrix.

Started in 2013, Teramatrix’s xFusion platform enables cross-industry enterprise applications to enhance customer satisfaction and operational intelligence. xFusion’s system collects, aggregates, and analyses the massive contextual data emanating from devices, sensors, enterprise apps, workforce and customers.

Globetouch has built a virtual and collaborative ecosystem of network operators, and provides global connectivity services that can be fully managed through its IoT platform. Its innovative approach to IoT connectivity powers business opportunities and enables enterprises, operators, OTT providers, device distributors and OEMs to create new revenue streams.
