Facebook user LiTing TaRa shared her experience of how a motorcyclist came to the aid of motorists like her when traffic lights at a cross junction failed last evening. She said that without the selfless act of the motorcyclist who helped to direct traffic at the cross junction between Macpherson and Paya Lebar, she may be caught in a desperate situation with a crying infant in her car.

In calling the man a “great hero”, LiTing said that he must have been “hungry and tired, just like all other drivers and pedestrians”.

This is what LiTing said in full:

“Was on my way to fetch my hubby this evening. The traffic lights at the cross junction between Macpherson road and Paya Lebar road were faulty. I had to make a right turn. Vehicles going straight had the right of way. I tried to inch forward, or I would never get to move further. I was so desperate to reach my destination as I had a crying infant in the car.

As I observed the situation further, I realised there was a man in blue who volunteered to guide the road users. Immediately, I felt so relieved.

I was pretty sure he was hungry and tired, just like all other drivers and pedestrians. However, he sacrificed his own time and volunteered to be a guide to all the road users.

I really wanted to shout out THANK YOU to him when I made my turn, but obviously I couldn’t as I had to be extra focused to avoid creating accident and add on to the already jam packed roads.

To this man in blue, from the shirt that you were wearing, I figured you are from some logistics company.

You are a great hero! From the bottom my heart, thank you very much. You saved all our time. And I could hug my crying girl earlier because of your selfless sacrifices.

Thank you!

Pls help to share. I hope he gets to see this message.

Update: A helpful source informed that he’s from Yusen Logistics :)”
