South Korean actor Song Young Hak has passed away. According to news reports dated Sept 26, the actor passed away on Sept 24, nine days before his 43rd birthday.

The report did not reveal the cause of death.

On the morning of Sept 26, his mother and two sisters were present for his funeral procession.

His body was at funeral hall room 2 in the Seoul Police Hospital, and his family, including his mother, older sister, and younger sister, were there to watch over him before they take his body to the crematorium.

Song Young Hak acted in various fields including plays, dramas, and films.

Recently, he starred in dramas including Prison Life of Fools, Life on Mars, Lovely Horribly, The Fiery Priest, Good Wife and My Fellow Citizens.

Song Young Hak majored in acting at the Korea National University of Arts and Theater at Kyonggi University. He was born on Oct 3, 1972.

Prison Playbook, in which he acted, is a 2017 South Korean television series directed by Shin Won-ho and it also starred Park Hae-soo and Jung Kyung-ho.

The series marks Park Hae-soo’s first-ever lead role.

It aired on tvN from Nov 22, 2017, to Jan 18, 2018, on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:10 (KST) time slot for 16 episodes.
