A lodging of a police report by True Fitness in April last year, that several of its customers were seen in various states of nudity in their gym’s changing rooms in an online forum led to the arrest of the culprit – NUS graduate Heng Li Ying.

Police arrested Heng, a woman, in May. She has been jailed for 30 weeks after admitting to 3 counts of intruding into the privacy of 3 women.

Heng said that she committed the crimes because she found it hard to get a stable job. She had gotten a 2-year-membership for the fitness gym in 2012 which gave her access to the gym’s branches all over the island.

In a matter of 5 months, the 29-year-old woman earned $1540 from selling the videos. Heng filmed her victims in the changing rooms of the True Fitness Outlet at Suntec City Mall and each video lasted up to two minutes.

Heng then created an account with the username “gargar787” at Sammyboy (a sex forum) and started a thread called “Changing room peektures” to advertise her videos. She put up her videos for sale at 10 cents or 20 cents per second, and managed to sell them to 22 people in early 2014. She even threw in extra videos as freebies, to sweeten the deal for her buyers.
